Lucy received a BA in biology, studying art and music on the side. Her art career began right after college with 12 years of designing and painting for needlepoint. Moving back to California in 1993 from New York, she focused on fine art. Her paintings range from scientific realism to complete abstraction, and have received numerous awards in over 100 juried shows. Her work, collected in 17 states and 4 countries, has been published as book and CD covers, stickers, cards, prints, and in calendars, magazines and children’s books.
